HELP!

anybody knows how to solve a notebook's hard disk problem?
or anybody knows anybody who knows?

my notebook just went berserk out of a sudden ytd night.

when i tried to turn it out, there's only this black screen with the words:
"Hard Disk Boot Sector invalid. Press H or any other key for floppy disk"

No matter how many times I tried pressing H or a million other keys, the same message just kept reappearing.

My god, pls dont tell me my hard disk is gone.

My weeks of hard work are all in it. My next paper is in 2 days' time and i need all the study notes that i've prepared and saved in my notebook.

gosh i cant believe this is happening. Im so gonna die without the notes that i've prepared for so long. HELP!

is there any way i can save all my files in my notebook if the only way to save it is to reformat it?
