having gone through this synonymous routine year by year, for at least the past 15 years, im still feeling the high and lows of the inevitable nightmare - exams.
high from the lack of sleep, or rather the daily guilt from sleeping past 5 snoozes of the alarm.
low from all that mugging and yet, minimum absorption. i need the largest dose of omega-3 to boost my memory instantly. almost impossible since fishes cost a bomb here and the only time i attempted, it took me 2 hours to
unsuccessfully fry a goddamn mackerel.
daph's bf brought us to this fruit and veg warehouse at 4am in the morning abt 2 nights ago. the sight of brightly-coloured, fresh cherries, bananas, mandarin oranges,
lychees, mushrooms, pak choys, chye sims and countless unidentifiable leafs and fruits managed to lift up my spirits instantly after 3 weeks of cooping myself up in my room (other than the weekly grocery-shopping at the supermarkets). if they weren't sold in boxes, i would have bought at least 10 varities back. but still, i stubbornly bought back one whole box of lychees for 8pounds knowing that we would never be able to finish that much.
can't believe im panicking over my results even before i sat for any of the exam papers. results will be out on 22nd june, the day im heading back to sg. can it be any more coincidental? knowing myself, i wld probably check my results before boarding the plane and then... 13 hours of brooding over the best way to break the news to my parents. im already starting to lose my appetite, not cos of exams, but the release of the results. then again, they're are intrinsically linked.
omg im so incoherent. maybe that's how the words in my exam scripts will seem like to the examiners. wish me luck.
